Family Law Accredited Specialist

Frances has practiced exclusively in family law since 1988. Frances is an accredited Family Law Specialist and a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

Frances joined the firm in 1995 and was appointed a Partner in July 1997. Frances specialises in complex family law matters, particularly financial matters involving valuation issues and complex property settlement and spouse maintenance issues.

Her practice has seen her represent clients in family law and de facto matters in the Family Court and Civil Courts, and in appeals to the Full Court of the Family Court.

Frances' focus is on helping clients negotiate agreements to resolve parenting matters with an outcome focused on the children's best interests.

Frances has acted in numerous reported decisions, notably a leading case on the valuation of professional practices.
